Education
Dr. Bellah has a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Baylor University, a Master’s degree in Counseling and Guidance from Louisiana Tech University, a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Fielding Graduate University, and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Neuropsychology from Fielding Graduate University (APA approved).
Clinical Training
Dr. Bellah has training and experience in the areas of neuropsychology and general clinical psychology.
Her clinical training includes general psychological assessment, neurocognitive assessment, neurocognitive rehabilitation, bariatric pre-surgical evaluation, bariatric post-surgical support, substance abuse treatment, and cognitive behavioral therapy in patients ranging from adolescents to geriatrics.
She completed formal internship training and two years of postdoctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology.
Research
Dr. Bellah completed research training at LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, Louisiana. At LSU Health, she published in the areas of racial diversity and disparities in healthcare.
Dr. Bellah is currently collaborating with colleagues in the departments of Medicine and Neurology at LSU Health to explore the cognitive, psychological, and social impacts of Alzheimer’s disease among diverse populations of people.
License & Board Certification
Dr. Bellah is licensed by the State of Texas as a Clinical Psychologist and as a Professional Counselor. Dr. Bellah is board certified by NBCC. She is also credentialed as a Health Service Psychologist by the National Register.
Dr. Bellah is licensed by the State of Louisiana as a Professional Counselor and as a Marriage and Family Therapist. In Louisiana, she is a state board approved supervisor and she maintains independent cognitive assessment privileges under the Louisiana LPC board.
Professional Affiliations
She is a member of the National Academy of Neuropsychology, the International Neuropsychological Society, the American Psychological Association, the Texas Psychological Association, and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
Current Practice
Dr. Bellah has 20 years of experience evaluating and treating adolescents, adults, and older adult populations presenting with a variety of health, psychiatric, and neurological conditions.
Dr. Bellah is currently accepting new patients for consultation.
